Ryan Howard Pranked by Dan LeBatard Show

I am actually kind of surprised that none of the blogs have gotten to this yet, because it actually is (partly) funny. As a Phillies fan, I can only find “inside jobs” to be hilarious. (I promise you, that will be one of the first YouTube Videos of the Week, whenever I decide to do all those daily/weekly features.) And as the only Philly blog that I know to be based in South Florida, I guess it’s kind of my duty. So, the prank was that the Dan LeBatard Show (With Stugotz!) landed Jared, the Subway guy, and Ryan Howard, who have been on Radio Row, as a guest (the part you need to click on – the clip link. To find it, just scroll down until you see, “Ryan Howard & Jared Fogle – 1-28-09”) on their afternoon drive Miami-based radio show, everyday from 3-7. (There’s the shameless fan plug.) Assuming that all of the radio hosts that they have spoken to asked Howard a majority of the questions, and saved the last couple for Jared, they asked Jared a bunch of Jared questions, acknowledged that there was someone else there with him, asked Jared who this other person was, and asked Ryan Howard, “What you got, Ryan Howard?!” Then, Howard started talking, and they hit him with their new “Buzzsaw Radio” drop, “The morning zoo show… except it’s in the afternoon! BUZZSAW!!!!!!!!” And they went to commercial. (Commercials perfectly included in clip)

The show cast said that they could not stop laughing, and that producer Marc “Hoch” Hochman immediately got on the phone with them and told them that they had “hit a wrong button” and they would bring him right back. Of course, that was after he fell on the floor laughing. Thankfully, they actually asked him some questions, which when I was listening live, the first time, was afraid would not happen. They talked to him about “World F***ing Champions!”, Subway, and 4509-year-old Jamie Moyer. (I picked his age by randomly banging on the numbers of my keyboard.) Bonus fallout from the prank after the interview.
